Oglesby Elk Lodge #2360 members met with Mardy Moreno, Spring Valley Police Dept. and Blake Frund of the Peru Police Dept. (center) and presented each of them with a check for $500. The funds will be used for Spring Valley’s Star program and Peru’s Red and Blue Christmas for Kids program that bring Christmas presents to needy children of the local communities. Oglesby Elks also presented $500 checks to LaSalle Police for their Officer Santa, Oglesby Police for their Shop with a Cop and Ottawa Police for their Shop with Santa programs.

Using Oglesby Elks Childrens Care Funds and an Illinois Elks Association President’s Grant, Oglesby Elks donated a total of $2,500 to local Police to help make Christmas a little brighter for children in need.
